The new flagship JAECOO SUV
Discover the All-New JAECOO 8 SHS-P
The JAECOO 8 combines three-row luxury, 428 PS all-wheel-drive performance and up to 83 miles of electric-only driving in a flagship plug-in hybrid SUV.
Now reaching UK guests, it is offered as the flexible seven-seat Luxury or the more passenger-focused six-seat Executive, with prices starting from £45,500 OTR.[2]
Arriving on UK roads
Luxury, Innovation and Adventure in One SUV
JAECOO’s new flagship is no longer simply a future model. Customer deliveries have commenced across the UK, placing the JAECOO 8 above the JAECOO 7 and JAECOO 5 as the brand’s largest and most luxurious model.[2]
The JAECOO 8 has been developed for guests who need more space without giving up performance or refinement. Its plug-in hybrid powertrain supports many everyday journeys using electric power, while the petrol engine and large battery provide the flexibility needed for longer travel.
It also gives UK buyers a genuine choice of cabin character. Luxury provides a versatile 5+2 seven-seat layout for family use. Executive adopts a 4+2 arrangement with four individual captain’s chairs across the first two rows for a more premium passenger experience.[2]
The model made its Festival of Speed debut at Goodwood in July 2026, where its Super Hybrid System was demonstrated on the Hillclimb alongside the latest OMODA technology.[4]
Bold exterior design
Built to Command Attention
The waterfall-style grille creates the JAECOO 8’s strongest visual signature, supported by slim LED lighting, sculpted bodywork and a long, confident profile. Official UK specification includes 20-inch alloy wheels, hidden electric door handles and distinctive C-shaped LED Vision rear lights.[1]

Super Hybrid performance
Electric Driving with Long-Distance Flexibility
The fifth-generation Super Hybrid System combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a three-mode Dedicated Hybrid Transmission, electric motors and a 34.46kWh battery. Total output reaches up to 428 PS and 580 Nm, driving all four wheels.[2]
JAECOO demonstrated that long-distance capability by driving two JAECOO 8 SHS-P models for more than 700 miles from Paris to Bilbao on one full tank and one full charge.[3]
For capability beyond the motorway, the JAECOO 8 also introduces lockable differentials and an adaptive all-terrain response system, supported by torque-vectoring all-wheel drive.[2]

Premium comfort and technology
A Cabin Designed Around Every Passenger
Both specifications provide a high level of standard equipment, including heated and ventilated seating, active noise cancellation, a panoramic roof and extensive connectivity. The cabin uses twin 12.3-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, online navigation, voice control and over-the-air updates.[1]
