A warranty protects against eligible manufacturing defects; it is not a replacement for servicing, insurance or the normal cost of wear. The useful way to read CHERY’s package is to separate the main car, the hybrid battery and the additional body and parts cover.
| Area | Headline cover | Important point |
|---|---|---|
| New vehicle | 7 years / 100,000 miles | Whichever comes first, subject to full terms. |
| High-voltage battery | 8 years / 100,000 miles | Defect cover with capacity restored to at least 70% where the terms apply. |
| Paint | 3 years | Manufacturing and application defects, subject to conditions. |
| Anti-perforation | 12 years | Body sheet-metal perforation; inspections and exclusions may apply. |
| Genuine spare parts | 2 years | Applies to eligible genuine CHERY parts. |
What does the battery warranty mean?
CHERY states that an eligible high-voltage battery defect will be repaired or replaced within the eight-year or 100,000-mile period to return capacity to at least 70% of its original level. That wording matters: a gradual change in range is not automatically the same as a warrantable defect, and testing follows the manufacturer’s process.
Does it transfer to another owner?
CHERY describes the package as transferable. That can benefit a later owner while the car remains within the time and mileage limits, but the buyer should verify registration date, mileage, servicing and eligibility rather than relying on the advert alone.
Roadside assistance is separate
The warranty page lists 12 months of roadside assistance. Assistance can have different duration and conditions from the vehicle warranty, so check the current roadside document before assuming it lasts seven years.
How to protect your cover
- Service the car at the required time and mileage intervals.
- Keep invoices, inspection records and software-update evidence.
- Report faults promptly and avoid unapproved modifications.
- Use the complete warranty terms for any part-specific decision.
