What comes with the MG3 SE?
The SE includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for compatible phones, satellite navigation and a reversing camera. Rear parking sensors and automatic air conditioning are also part of its equipment.
Those are features you can use from the first journey. Connect your own phone in the showroom, enter a regular destination and see how clearly you can read the camera image.
If heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and a 360-degree camera appeal, compare the MG3 Hybrid+ Trophy as well. Those are Trophy features; they are not included in the SE price above.

How will it fit your everyday driving?
Both cars manage their hybrid systems automatically, switching the contribution of the petrol engine and electric motor to suit the driving conditions. You continue to fill up with petrol.
MG quotes 64.2 mpg WLTP combined for the MG3 Hybrid+. That is a laboratory comparison figure, not a guaranteed result. Your mileage, traffic and driving conditions will affect fuel use.
Try the MG on a route that includes town traffic, a faster road and a parking manoeuvre. Listen to how the engine responds as you accelerate and check whether the driving position works for you. A useful comparison is one that includes the way you actually drive.

How do the warranties compare?
MG provides a seven-year or 80,000-mile warranty, whichever comes first, subject to its terms and servicing requirements.
Toyota supplies a three-year or 60,000-mile manufacturer warranty. After that, eligible Toyota servicing can activate further cover, up to the car reaching ten years or 100,000 miles. That additional cover depends on meeting Toyota’s conditions.
The MG offers a long manufacturer warranty from new. Toyota’s service-activated route can run for longer, so it is worth comparing how each fits your planned ownership and servicing.
Read MG’s warranty information and Toyota’s warranty terms. The scope and exclusions of the cover differ.
