For electric driving alone, the UK model is quoted at up to 83 miles WLTP. If you can charge regularly at home or work, that gives you the opportunity to cover many routine journeys on battery power, while keeping petrol available for longer trips.

The technology explained
Power meets control
The UK JAECOO 8 SHS-P combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with its hybrid system, delivering 428 PS and 580 Nm of torque. All-wheel drive is part of the specification, too.
Its CDC adaptive suspension adjusts the damping that controls suspension movement. That allows the car to respond to changing surfaces, rather than relying on one fixed damping setting.
Those are useful features to explore on a test drive. Try the car on the kinds of roads you use most and pay attention to how it rides, how easily you can place it on the road and how comfortable your passengers feel.
