Dacia Zen warranty explained
Keeping a Dacia for longer? A qualifying service can bring additional warranty cover. Here is how Dacia Zen works and what to check before booking.
Your quick guide
- Service-activated cover: a qualifying Dacia-network service can add warranty protection at no extra warranty charge.
- Check eligibility first: Dacia’s published criteria include being under six years old and below 75,000 miles.
- Know the dates: each qualifying period lasts up to one year or 18,000 miles; maintenance conditions and a claims waiting period apply.
What is Dacia Zen?
Dacia Zen is additional warranty cover linked to qualifying servicing in the Dacia retailer network. It gives eligible owners a reason to think about their next service and their next year of ownership together.
The service itself is chargeable; the qualifying Zen warranty is added without a separate warranty charge. It is different from buying an extended-warranty contract and does not turn the service into a free appointment.
Dacia advertises up to seven years of warranty protection through its standard warranty and Zen programme. That is a potential period of cover, subject to eligibility and renewal—not an automatic seven-year extension for every car.

Have these details ready
Before arranging the appointment, gather the registration, current mileage, first-registration date and service history. These let the team check the car against the programme rules and identify the correct service.
- Age and mileage: check eligibility at the time of the qualifying service, especially if the car is near a limit.
- Maintenance history: keep invoices as well as any stamped or digital record.
- Existing cover: bring details of any manufacturer or extended warranty already in place.
- Current concerns: describe any existing warning, fault or symptom when you book; do not assume a new policy will pay for it.
Previous servicing outside the Dacia network does not automatically rule the car out. Dacia says the earlier work must meet its maintenance recommendations, and limits can apply.
When does the cover start?
The Zen terms link each period to the qualifying service and set an end point of the service anniversary or 18,000 miles, whichever comes first. They also include a one-month waiting period before a claim can be made; any existing manufacturer or extended-warranty cover remains subject to its own terms.
That makes the paperwork worth checking before you leave. Ask for the cover dates, mileage limit and confirmation of any waiting period applicable to your car. Do not assume the waiting month is added to the end of the policy.
Read Dacia’s warranty terms, including the Zen section for the contractual conditions.
What should you expect from the warranty?
Zen addresses qualifying mechanical or electronic failures caused by manufacturing or assembly defects, within its terms. It is not a maintenance plan that pays for every item a car needs.
Routine servicing and excluded items remain separate costs. The terms list exclusions, including multimedia devices. Dacia’s Zen FAQ also confirms that roadside assistance is not included.
If a particular feature matters to you, ask about that component explicitly. “Is this covered, and under which conditions?” is a more useful question than assuming every part has the same protection.
Make your next service easier to plan
Keep a simple note of your last service date, mileage and next due appointment. If you cover more miles than expected, check whether the mileage interval will arrive before the date in your diary.
When asking for a quote, request the scheduled work, the total price and any additional items separately. This helps you see what the appointment includes and decide whether any optional work is useful.
Invicta Dacia Bolton offers servicing and ownership support. Contact the team with your vehicle details to check eligibility and the appointment options, rather than booking solely on the headline “up to seven years”.
Your questions answered
Is Dacia Zen free?
There is no separate charge for qualifying Zen cover, but you pay for the service that activates it.
Can a used Dacia qualify?
Potentially, yes. Eligibility depends on the vehicle and programme conditions. Have its age, mileage and maintenance records checked before booking.
Must every previous service have been at Dacia?
Not necessarily. Dacia allows qualifying cars with servicing outside its network, provided the maintenance requirements have been met. Keep evidence of that work.
Does Zen include roadside assistance?
No. Check any roadside-assistance arrangement separately.
What happens if I sell the car?
Dacia says existing Zen cover transfers to the next owner, with the conditions unchanged. Keep the relevant documentation with the vehicle.
