TIGGO 7 vs C10 Hybrid EV
Two rechargeable family SUVs, with different hybrid layouts and budgets.
At a glance
- TIGGO 7 Aspire: £29,995 OTR, 56-mile WLTP electric range and seven-year/100,000-mile vehicle cover.
- C10 Hybrid EV: £36,500 published OTR price, a range-extender layout and 90-mile WLTP electric range.
- CHERY strengths: lower entry price, useful standard technology and longer headline vehicle warranty.
Two ways to keep petrol flexibility
The TIGGO 7 Super Hybrid and Leapmotor C10 Hybrid EV both allow external charging while keeping a petrol engine for longer journeys. Their layouts, size and starting prices differ.
CHERY pairs its petrol engine with a dedicated hybrid transmission. In the C10 Hybrid EV, the petrol engine generates electricity while an electric motor drives the wheels. This comparison is with that range-extender C10—not the C10 battery-electric model. CHERY’s UK specification and Leapmotor’s UK press information explain the systems.

What makes the CHERY proposition attractive?
At those published list prices, TIGGO 7 Aspire is £6,505 lower. Its standard equipment includes twin 12.3-inch displays, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a reversing camera, parking sensors and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat.
The Summit upgrade is a separate decision if you want extras such as heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic roof and a powered tailgate. Compare the actual Summit quotation with C10 if those features are central to your shortlist, rather than assuming the base Aspire includes every photograph’s equipment.
CHERY’s seven-year/100,000-mile headline vehicle warranty is another substantiated strength. Keep the servicing conditions and component-specific limits in view when you compare cover.
Where the C10 offers something different
The C10 Hybrid EV is the larger SUV and has a larger rechargeable battery. Its UK guide’s 90-mile WLTP electric-range figure is longer than the TIGGO 7’s 56-mile figure. That matters if you want to cover a longer regular journey electrically and can charge often.
It also includes comfort equipment such as a panoramic roof and heated and ventilated front seats within its single UK specification. The CHERY counterpoint is the lower entry price and the choice of Aspire or Summit.
Try the space, not just the battery: rear-seat comfort, the boot opening and the room needed on your driveway can be more important than a brochure headline.
Make charging part of the comparison
CHERY quotes around 20 minutes for a 30–80% DC top-up; Leapmotor’s UK guide quotes around 18 minutes over that same window. These are controlled-condition manufacturer figures, not guaranteed stops on your journey.
Both should be considered with a realistic charging routine. A short commute, a longer weekly drive and occasional motorway trips create different needs. Compare the electricity tariff, fuel use when electric range is used up, and total purchase cost together.
If you want a five-seat plug-in SUV at a lower starting price, with the reassurance of CHERY’s longer headline vehicle cover, TIGGO 7 Super Hybrid deserves a close look. Our team can explain its charging connection and arrange a suitable appointment.
